Now that Pinterest has removed the background cover from our accounts, they look a little bland. Here’s a free Pinterest profile cover template for you to use!

The space on your Pinterest profile is valuable real estate. Pinterest used to show a collage of your recently added pins – yours and other users. Whilst there’s nothing wrong with adding other users pins, especially if they are helpful for your or your ideal client, it’s better to showcase your own pins where you can. As well as creating a custom Pinterest profile picture (which should ideally be a clear, professional looking photo of you) you can now create a custom Pinterest profile cover too. What size is a Pinterest profile cover photo?

The best Pinterest photo cover size is 800 px x 450 px. Using this template in Canva will give you the right size canvas, complete with frames to add your images straight into. You can only use images or gifs now – video is not allowed.

How to create a custom Pinterest cover photo collage

It’s easy to make your own Pinterest cover photo. You can either upload your own photo direct, or use the free template to create your own photo collage. You can get the template sent straight to your inbox.

Click Use Template.

There are two pages on the template, allowing you to either create a collage of your images or a single image with your wording/logo.

Replace the images of ferns with your own images. If you want to add in your pin images, upload them as images and drag them into the frames provided. When you’re happy with how it looks, click Share then Download (I’d always download as a jpg as the files are smaller).
