Do You Need a Pinterest Expert?
Is it Time to Hire a Pinterest Expert?
Are you tired of creating Pinterest boards that don’t seem to generate any traction or leads? Do you struggle to keep up with the constantly changing algorithm and best practices? If so, it may be time to consider hiring a professional Pinterest manager. With over 400 million monthly active users, Pinterest is a visual search engine that can drive massive amounts of traffic to your website or blog. However, it takes more than just randomly pinning images to see results! A Pinterest expert can help you unlock the power of this platform and take advantage of its many benefits, such as increased website traffic, brand recognition, and revenue growth. In this article, I’ll have a look at why hiring a professional Pinterest manager is well worth the investment and how they can help you achieve your blogging or business goals.
Advantages of Pinterest for Businesses or Bloggers
Pinterest is a platform that allows users to discover, save, and share images, videos, and other content on virtual pinboards. While it’s often thought of as a social media network, it’s actually more of a search engine. Users search for inspiration, ideas, and products to buy, making it an ideal platform for businesses to showcase their products and services or for bloggers to share their content.
One of the advantages of Pinterest is that it’s a highly visual platform, making it perfect for businesses that rely on visual content to showcase their products or services. Pinterest users are looking for inspiration and ideas, so businesses that create visually appealing content have a higher chance of being discovered and shared. It’s a great place for interiors/home decor, recipe bloggers, designers, artists and so many more businesses.
Another advantage of Pinterest is that it’s a platform that actually promotes discovery. Your content can be seen by anyone who is searching for it, so you’re not reliant on follower numbers or spending hours of engaging with random people trying to grow your account. With its smart feed algorithm, Pinterest shows users content that is tailored to their interests and preferences. This means that even small businesses with limited followings can get their content in front of new audiences – it’s not all about the big guys!
Pinterest content has a very long shelf life – we’re talking months, rather than days like on social media. Your pins will bring you traffic year after year, so it’s a great long term investment for your blog.
Finally, Pinterest is a platform that drives traffic. Because users can click on pins and be taken directly to a website, Pinterest is a powerful tool for driving traffic to a business’s website or your blog, often overlooked by business owners.
How a Pinterest Expert Can Help Your Pinterest Account
While Pinterest can be a powerful tool for businesses and bloggers, it can also be overwhelming to manage. The platform is constantly evolving, with new features and best practices being introduced all the time. This can make it difficult for businesses to keep up and stay on top of their Pinterest game. The demand for a constant supply of fresh content can lead some users to burn out. This is where a professional Pinterest manager comes in, taking your Pinterest account off your plate so you can focus on everything else you have to do!
A Pinterest manager or Pinterest expert is someone who specialises in creating and managing Pinterest accounts for businesses. They have a deep understanding of the platform and its best practices, and they can help businesses achieve their goals on Pinterest.
One of the ways that a professional Pinterest manager can help your account is by creating a customised Pinterest strategy. Every business is unique, and a one-size-fits-all approach to Pinterest won’t work. What works for one blogger’s account won’t work for another unfortunately! A Pinterest expert (such as me!) will work with you to understand your business goals, target audience, and brand aesthetic, and create a strategy that is tailored to your specific needs.
Another way that a professional Pinterest manager can help your account is by creating and curating high-quality pins. Pinterest is a platform that rewards quality and originality, so having a steady stream of fresh and engaging content is important. A Pinterest manager can create pins that are optimised for the platform and that resonate with your target audience.
Finally, a Pinterest manager can help you stay on top of the latest best practices and trends. Pinterest is constantly changing, and a Pinterest manager can help you stay ahead of the curve. Using best practices means your account will stay out of the (slightly trigger-happy) Pinterest spam filter, provide valuable content for your readers and continue to send you all that lovely traffic.
Benefits of Hiring a Pinterest Expert
There are many benefits to hiring a professional Pinterest manager for your business. Here are just a few:
1. Save time
Managing a Pinterest account can be time-consuming, especially if you’re new to the platform. I can take care of all the details, leaving you free to focus on other aspects of your business.
2. Increase brand recognition
Pinterest is a platform that promotes discovery, which makes it an ideal place to build brand recognition. A Pinterest manager can create a strategy that showcases your brand and helps it stand out in a crowded market.
3. Drive traffic
As we mentioned earlier, Pinterest is a powerful tool for driving traffic to your website. A Pinterest manager can create a strategy that is designed to drive traffic and increase sales, sign ups or whatever your goals may be.

Factors to Consider in Choosing a Pinterest Manager
If you’re considering hiring a professional Pinterest manager, there are a few factors to keep in mind:
1. Experience
Look for a Pinterest manager who has experience managing Pinterest accounts for businesses similar to yours. They should have a deep understanding of the platform and its best practices.
2. Communication
Communication is key when working with a Pinterest manager. Look for someone who is responsive and easy to work with.
3. Results
Ask for case studies or examples of past work to see what kind of results the Pinterest manager has achieved for other businesses. You can see examples of my case studies here. Be aware that these results are not guaranteed – the Pinterest algorithm is totally in charge!
4. Pricing
Pinterest managers charge different rates for their services, so it’s important to find someone who fits within your budget. You can see my pricing on my Pinterest Management Services page.
Custom Pinterest Marketing Strategy
By hiring a Pinterest expert to manage your account, you’ll also have a custom marketing strategy put in place. A successful Pinterest marketing strategy involves several key elements:
1. Profile optimisation
Your Pinterest profile is the first thing that users see when they discover your account. Make sure your profile is optimised with a clear profile picture, keyword-rich bio, and links to your website.
2. Content creation
Create high-quality, visually appealing pins that resonates with your target audience. Use keywords and hashtags to make sure your content is discoverable.
3. Pinning strategy
Develop a pinning strategy that works with the amount of content you have available – it’s more about quality, not quantity. Pin consistently and frequently to keep your account fresh and engaging.
4. Targeted keyword research
As Pinterest is a search engine keywords are the backbone of any custom Pinterest strategy. It’s important to know your ideal clients and what phrases they would use to search for you on the platform. Using the right keywords will mean that your content gets seen by the right people at the right time.
Measuring Success on Pinterest
Measuring the success of your Pinterest strategy is key to understanding what’s working and what’s not. Different metrics are important to different people. Here are some of the most common metrics to track:
1. Impressions
Impressions are the number of times your pins have been seen by users. This is somewhat of a vanity metric however, as you can have over a million impressions and 5 outbound clicks to your site. This is different to monthly views, which is the amount of times the pins in your account (yours AND other users if you have any) have been seen on screen.
2. Saves
Saves are the number of times users have saved your pins to their own boards. This is important as it tells Pinterest that the content is useful and therefore it gets shown more in the search results.
3. Clicks
This is the most important metric to track for a lot of my clients. Clicks are the number of times users have clicked through to your website from Pinterest ie how much more web traffic Pinterest has sent you.
In May 2023 there was a security update to the Pinterest app which has resulted in Google Analytics 4 tracking a lot of Pinterest traffic as Direct traffic. This is frustrating but you can check the analytics within Pinterest itself.
Pinterest is a powerful tool for businesses looking to increase website traffic, brand recognition, and revenue growth. However, managing a Pinterest account can be overwhelming, which is why hiring a professional Pinterest manager can be a smart investment. A Pinterest manager can help you create a customised strategy, curate high-quality content, and stay on top of the latest trends and best practices. They can also help you navigate the platform’s advertising options and measure the success of your Pinterest strategy. With the right strategy and a professional Pinterest manager by your side, you can unlock the full potential of this powerful platform.
