Free Social Media Content Planner
Social Media is amazing for small business. It’s essentially free advertising, so you’d be crazy not to be using social media for your business. It can however become a bit of a chore, and when writer’s block hits, how do you come up with new content?! I like to use my little social media content planner as a starting point.
I hope the sections are self explanatory! Here are some ideas for what you can use for each section.
Inspo – what is inspiring you at the moment? Maybe share an account who inspires you? Have you done something amazing that can inspire your followers?
Tips and Tricks – If you know a tip, trick or life hack relevant to your niche, share this! If you are a VA (for example) and can share a productivity hack, or a social media tip, this is the day to do that. Obviously don’t share the whole process, but just enough to give value.
FAQ – Most businesses will be asked the same questions over and over again. If you make wedding cakes and get asked “how much is a three tier cake” a lot, make a post about it, answering that question before it’s asked again. For other suppliers, go through your FAQs and create a post for each one.
Behind the Scenes – Who doesn’t love to see what goes on behind the scenes? Show off your work space, or create a Reel capturing your process. These are great for showcasing the person behind the business too, allowing your personality to show through.
Services – Because it’s nice to remind your followers about your services from time to time, right? Maybe focus on one service, describing how it works. Always include a call to action, giving your reader something to do!
I use this social media content planner as a starting point and map out my content for the week or month. Knowing what the topic of each post is makes it easier to batch create. I then add them all into Planoly, and that’s it – my social media content is created and I don’t have to worry about it any more. I can just focus on engagement, which is essential to growing your following.
